The Celtic Manor resort is in idyllic parkland setting in the Usk valley. Host to the 2010 Ryder cup and Wales open it is one of the top golfing venues in the UK.
It features three championship courses. The Twenty Ten, The Roman Road and The Montgomerie.
The Twenty Ten Course
The first course in the history of the Ryder Cup to be purpose built to host the prestige's event, the Twenty Ten is a superb championship course measuring 7493 yards from the back tee. As you would expect the course is immaculately presented and is a true challenge to any standard of golfer. The course features many water hazards and strategically placed bunkers that demand your course management is on top form. There are many signature holes with perhaps the 14th being amongst the one of the best. The 18th is a great finishing hole. This long downhill par 5 requires a an accurate final approach shot over water to a well guarded green in front of the impressive Twenty Ten Club house.
